Congratulations to the U-9 & U-11 Boys teams for their efforts at the Celtic Cup Tournament!!

The U-11 Boys team had an outstanding weekend at the Celtic Cup Tournament this weekend. Handily beating the Cary Defenders, Windy City Pride and the Sockers FC ending up undefeated in pool play. They advanced to the Championship game playing the Willmette Wings for the title.
ICPFC dominated the field thru most of the game but was plagued by many near misses at the goal. Wilmette had very few opportunities as the ICPFC defense crushed most attempts of the Wings offense. They did finally break thru. Wilmette scored first. ICPFC came back soon after. Wilmette went ahead late in the second half. ICPFC pushed back with about 5 min left in the game. Unfortunately, the Wings were able to put together one final run and scored. With time running out, our boys could not answer back. Both teams played well and our hats are off to the Wilmette Wings for a good showing. We hope to see them again soon for another go. The final was 3-2.
Our boys were happy to bring home the 2nd place hardware in ICPFC's debut tournament. Our coaches, trainers and parents are very proud of the boys showing and look forward to a great season.

The U-9 boys also had a great showing at the tourney. Although the U-9's division does not include a championship game, our boys played very well and introduced themselves by dominating Celtic Premier, Wilmette Wings, and Ela SC teams. They did however take one on the chin from the Sockers FC team. They finished with a record of 3-1 for the tournament. As with the U-11's, ICPFC coaches and trainers are very proud of the boys for their efforts in putting together a great debut performance.

As ICPFC is an up and coming club, we have been thru many trials and tribulations in putting everything together these last few months. We are very fortunate to have a great group of kids and parents. It is our hope that the kids continue to grow and develop into the great players that we know they are capable of being. Thanks to all our kids and their parents for their commitment at all levels as this club moves forward.
