Libertyville -
ICPFC U-11 boys beat down the Warren United Blazers U-11 "Select" team in the Indoor Championship at Libertyville on Saturday. The boys started slow in the first half when the score was 1-1 largly in part to a good effort by the Warren boys. After the break, The ICPFC boys scored 2 unanswered goals. Warren tried to rally after scoring 1 but it was not to be. ICPFC answered back with 2 more goals to finish off the Blazer boys and send them packing. Final score was 5-2 resulting in the championship for ICPFC. Previously, during league play ICPFC handed out 3 crushing defeats to the Blazer Boys and 1 tie the previous week. ICPFC coaches were quoted as saying "they caught us sleeping this time" after the 4-4 tie game. The previously played league games were blowouts for the ICPFC boys.
The boys will be celebrating their Championship with a Pizza party!!!
